Parliamentary candidates’ pledges for General Election

BBET has contacted all MP candidates in all the constituencies in Kent and East Sussex, and two in Essex, asking them to sign our nine pledges. The pledges commit candidates to working for a resumption of international rail services at Ashford and Ebbsfleet International Stations.
The 9 Pledges include a commitment to working on a national rail strategy that encompasses international rail. We believe this is essential for the economic growth of the south east and the country as a whole. The focus on rail will also underline the UK’s commitment to sustainability.
This campaign targets all constituencies in Kent, because it is where Ashford and Ebbsfleet are located. The campaign extends to East Sussex because the Marsh Line links passengers into Ashford. We have included two consitituencies in Essex that stand to benefit from the projected KenEx tram link into Ebbsfleet. We hope this cements the position of both Ebbsfleet and Ashford as transport hubs.
What you can do
We would like all our supporters to demonstrate the importance of this issue to them as voters. All the candidates are listed on our dedicated 9 Pledges page, together with their email addresses: please write to those in your constituency to urge them to sign. As each one signs, we will add a tick symbol next to their name!
