Petition passes 65k mark
Our petition continues to attract supporters and signatories who now number just over 65,000.
What is BBET doing in the mean time?
We are continuing to impress on Eurostar the consequences of their withdrawal from Kent. We have contacted them via our French Assembly member Vincent Caure who represents French citizens living in the UK.
We also met them at the launch of St Pancras High Speed.
We are engaging in discussions with the train operators who hope to compete with Eurostar, to impress on them the importance of the facilities at the Kent stations. They are Virgin Trains, Evolyn, Gemini and more.
We continue to pressure the UK Government through local MPs.
We network with out partners Campaign for Better Transport, Enroute, KenEx to share research and background information for stakeholders.
We continue to reach out though social media to foster conversations about international rail in the UK.
